2. AI-Generated Content Notice
Important: All stories and images created through our platform are generated by artificial intelligence and are not human-verified for content quality, narrative coherence, or artistic consistency. As such, we do not accept returns based on the subjective quality of the AI-generated story content or images.
3. Digital Products (EPUB Files)
Due to the nature of digital products, all sales of digital story files are final. We do not offer refunds for:
- Downloaded EPUB files
- Digital content that has been accessed or viewed
- Dissatisfaction with AI-generated story content or images
- Subjective quality concerns regarding plot, character development, or narrative structure
- Artistic style or quality of AI-generated illustrations
4. Physical Products (Printed Books)
Eligible for Return
Physical books may be returned within 14 days of delivery only in the following circumstances:
- Damaged in Transit: Book arrives with physical damage (torn pages, bent cover, water damage)
- Printing Defects: Manufacturing errors such as missing pages, upside-down printing, or binding issues
- Wrong Item: You receive a different book than what you ordered
- Non-Delivery: Your order was not delivered despite shipping confirmation
Not Eligible for Return
Returns will NOT be accepted for:
- Dissatisfaction with the AI-generated story content
- Quality of AI-generated images or illustrations
- Grammatical inconsistencies or narrative issues in AI-generated text
- Books that have been used, written in, or show signs of wear
- Change of mind after purchase
- Books returned after the 14-day return window
5. Return Process
To initiate a return for eligible physical products:
- Contact us at hi@talesofus.ai within 14 days of delivery
- Include your order number and clear photos showing the issue
- Explain the reason for return (must be from eligible reasons listed above)
- Wait for return authorization before sending the item back
- Ship the item back in its original packaging (shipping costs may apply)
6. Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your returned item:
- Approved returns will be refunded within 7-10 business days
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
- We reserve the right to deny refunds for items that don't meet return eligibility criteria
7. Technical Issues
If you experience technical problems accessing your digital content (corrupted files, download issues), please contact our support team. We will work to resolve technical issues and provide replacement files where appropriate. This does not constitute a refund of your purchase.
8. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled only before the AI generation process begins. Once story generation has started, the order cannot be cancelled as computational resources have been utilized. For physical books, cancellations are only possible before the print job is submitted to our printing partner.
9. Quality Disclaimer
By purchasing our products, you acknowledge and accept that all content is AI-generated without human editorial review. Results may vary and may include:
- Narrative inconsistencies or plot variations
- Grammatical or stylistic irregularities
- Image quality variations or artistic inconsistencies
- Content that may not fully align with your expectations
These characteristics are inherent to AI-generated content and do not constitute defects eligible for returns.
10. Exceptions
We may make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis for extraordinary circumstances. Any exceptions are at our sole discretion and do not create precedent for future returns.
11. Consumer Rights
This return policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. In jurisdictions where mandatory consumer protection laws apply, those rights take precedence over this policy where applicable.
12. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Return Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. The "Last updated" date will reflect when changes were made.
